My name is Shawn De’Von McMillen, better known as Dj S.Dot “THE SHORT MAN DJ”. I Started off as a DJ in college in 2008 in the Student Center of Lincoln College. Once i developed the ability to rock a crowd I soon migrated to other local cities on the weekend such as; Bloomington-Normal, IL, Champaign, IL, Peoria, IL, Springfield, IL, DJing their college parties with Dj Xclusive of Peoria.
I started off in music as a Drummer at the age of 5, continued my dream as a musician until this day. Playing drums in college and at churches made it very easy to become a Dj by having the ability to listen to music and hear patterns and mixing other songs to different instrumental music.
In 2010 when I continued my education at Millikin University the staff and students soon realized who I was and the asset that I am on campus I soon started Djing parties around campus for all types of events. While on campus the members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated took me under their wing to show me the campus and hot spots in the area. Soon after I began hosting and Djing all their parties and events. Making me a young Dj S.Dot the talk of local towns.
Soon after working with my brother Martell ‘Marlae’ Leach I began to Dj at local Chicago South Suburban club at college parties for SuperStar Ent. under Courtney Flannigan. While doing this i met my mentors Dj Bamn, and Blok Club Dj’s own Dj Showtime.
A few months later after sitting under them, going to gigs, and filling in doing hour slots for them i soon began to Dj at Epic Center formally known as Club Secrets of Dolton, IL. Spinning at parties featuring, Trey Songz, Tank, Waka Flocka, Shawnna, Juelz Santana, Travis Porter, a lot of Chicago lands artist as well as Miami and Texas artists and a few more head liners. In 2012 I became the resident Dj of Epic Center blazing the turntables and becoming better and giving the livest shows from Chicago to Miami, FL with TMMA Management Group.
