Welcome to my world. They call me Temper. Hailing from the south side (wild 100’s) of Chicago. I am the 2nd to the youngest out of 9 children. I fell in love with music at the young age of 9, using music as my avenue for staying out of trouble, and not falling victim to the environment I was raised in.
Music is my medicine. I grew up listening to the GREATS such as 2Pac, Biggie, Jay-Z, Boss, KRS-1, Da Brat, Queen Latifah, Canibus, N.W.A, Mc Lyte, etc. I remember the first rap I wrote was about this boy that I liked. I was just getting started so I knew I had a lot of work to do and a lot of things I needed to learn about writing. The first group I was apart of was called “Levelground.” That was the first real experience I had in a recording studio. I was 13 years old. I knew then that this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
I have a gift, style, and swagger that is unmatched by any other female rapper. I put my heart and soul into my music and cover all grounds of life in my songs. I was blessed to do shows with B2K, Soulja Boy, Keith Murray, Sammie, Talib Kweli, J. Holiday, and Crucial Conflict. I also won 1st place in an Artesian Production rap contest that consist of 200 contestants, 3 of them being female artist. I also played a main character role in a movie directed by Coquie Hughes and produced by Jeremy Jones of Mindworthy Pictures titled “If I Was Your Girl.”
I want the world to get to know who I am, listen to my music, and be open to something different. I make music that appeals to housewives, hard working people, street hustlers, and college students. There is no limit to my writing abilities and my fan base. I make music for everybody and allow other people to become apart of my world. WELCOME……..
