Dion Pleasant aka DJ Disco Dion, a Chicago native and an avid music lover has been gracing the sacred decks since 1996. Prior to his musical hands touching the 1s and 2s and his dream becoming a reality, he was heavily influenced by his mom, a close cousin, his God-Brother DJ Rel and the late DJ Tree to step out on faith and confidence in his talent to be the best DJ he could be.
DJ Disco Dion’s motivation and inspiration came about from hanging out with friends and family who shared a unconditional love for music and bearing witness many a parties where DJs who were family members would rock the event. Dion being mesmerized at how the music made the party goers feel was just the inspiration he needed to bring his dream of becoming a DJ…a reality. He has rocked large crowds on New Year’s Eve at the coveted NYE Pajama Jam, the Robbins Parade but none of that can beat DJ Disco Dion next big move in 2020 where he will be sharing a stage with some of the Blues genre talented artist.
Like most DJs, they have a goal of being on stage spinning along side another DJ they admire, Disco Dion is no different. He chose Hometown hero DJ Slugo because he admires his tenacity, ability to make things happen as a DJ but most of all he admires DJ Slugo because of his self made humble beginnings to becoming a household name and international success.
Just being a DJ is not enough for DJ Disco Dion, while he has been successful in that capacity he wants to take his career to new heights and stratosphere levels. He has goals of taking his talents global and wants to infiltrate the radio airwaves as a Mixologist.
