AYEKO (Kertis Owens) rap artist/songwriter was born and raised in Milwaukee,WI.
Since the age of twelve he’s been writing music being mostly influenced by his older cousins that were local recording artists at the time. By the age of sixteen he was the opening act for national recording artists such as LiL Boosie, Rick Ross and Kanye West. While working with Grammy nominated producer Bizness Boi he was connected to create a collab with Oakland based Rap Artist Mistah Fab.
AYEKO feels music is more than just his passion. He says music is what he breathes, eat and comes to peace at mind with. Other influences are the late Teddy Pendergrass and Tupac Shakur. Some of his favorite Music artists today are Future, Chance The Rapper and Ty Dolla Sign. AYEKO music has been described as pure natural versatility at its finest.
He’s there’s two main reasons that motivates him to reach the highest success in the music industry. One of them is to aim towards and reach several different markets within the rap/hip hop culture to make versatility beyond acceptable. The second reason is to be able to give back to those he needs just as little as a second chance in this one life we’re given to live.
